Continuing the Mission
A Tribute to Our Co-Founder
As many of you know, Freedom Flyers VA was founded by my husband and me with a singlular goal in mind - to aid veterans facing the invisible battles that follow the home. With a heavy heart, I share that my husband has recently passed away after bravely fighting cancer. His legacy, however, lives on through the continuation of our mission to support veterans in need.
Understanding the Struggle
For many veterans, returning to civilian life comes with its own set of challenges. PTSD and other mental health issues are all too common, making everyday life difficult and, at times, overwhelming. Through Freedom Flyers VA, we will strive to acknowledge these challenges openly and provide resources and support to help bridge the gap between struggle and healing.
Our Continued Offerings
- Stress-Free Camping: Our camping experiences continue to offer veterans a reprieve, where the quiet embrace of nature can serve as a conduit for healing and reflection.

- Peaceful Fishing Trips: Be it casting a line or simply enjoying a serene day on the water, our fishing outings offer veterans a space to unwind, find solace, and connect with others who understand their journey.

- Open-Hearts Open-Minds Group Sessions: We hold regular group sessions tailored to facilitate meaningful conversations and mutual support. These gatherings help veterans open up about their experiences in a safe, understanding environment.
A Call to Our Community
In this period of transition, your support means the world. Whether you're a veteran looking for connection, or someone inspired to contribute, I invite you to be part of this compassionate community we've cultivated at Freedom Flyers VA. Together, we can uphold the mission my husband and I embarked on - to ensure no veteran feels alone in their fight for peace and well-being.

Thank you for your continued support and for being a vital part of our story.
